Mead: the Drink of Untouched Nature

Mead – the world’s oldest alcohol – is made by fermenting honey. BEEoMETRY reinvents this legendary drink with modern expertise and a contemporary touch.
Mead does not require monocultures or vast tracts of land exploited by man for its production. This ancestral beverage doesn’t need to change or transform Nature.
To produce it, all you need is 2 things
  • Wild Flora
On the one hand, abundant flora and healthy plant ecosystems are required.
  • Bees
On the other hand, bees are needed to collect and pollinate this plant mass, and finally extract the precious honey.
By buying mead, consumers contribute to increasing biodiversity, improving soil health and supporting beekeepers.

Our Know-How

  • Quality Honey
We use raw, unfiltered honeys which bring greater complexity to the finished product.
  • Swiss Water
The water used in brewing is equally important. We use water sourced in Switzerland.
  • Unique Yeast Strains
We use old yeast strains, long forgotten.
  • Innovation & Tradition
We pay homage to the epic origins of mead, while giving it a contemporary twist thanks to new manufacturing methods.

From Bee to Bottle

Our Brewing Philosophy

Like beer or wine, mead has a thousand facets. The amount and type of honey used, the fermentation method, environmental conditions and the mead-maker’s touch all influence the product. At BEEOMETRY, we experiment by producing a variety of mead styles. In our range, you’ll find light, sparkling meads, as well as more complex, syrupy meads. In addition to honey from our own beehives in Geneva, we use honeys selected for their organoleptic qualities and floral compositions. This allows us to explore the gustatory varieties of different honeys and create unique experiences for our customers.

10'000

flowers/sip

“For every sip of mead, bees pollinate 10,000 flowers”.

Discover our Meads

Whether you’re tempted by a light, refreshing mead, or looking for a more traditional, liqueur-like experience, we’ve got a bottle for you in our selection. Our adventure began with a range of “thirst-quenching” meads, because of their light, sparkling character, reminiscent of beer or cider. A 33cl format, low alcohol content and gluten-free make for a light, floral and refreshing experience. Later, we extended our offer to include more complex, alcoholic 75cl bottles, tending towards wine or champagne. Here are two creations that will give you a first glimpse into the world of BEEoMETRY meads. For more varieties, visit our shop.
